A special note for our times - Coronavirus

A magnification of actual Coronavirus

It seems we have all now become accustomed to our 'new normal'- wear masks in public places, and safely distance from others.

We just want to tell you what we are doing in these special times:

  • We no longer greet our guests when they arrive at the cottage in order to keep our distance and keep us both safe.

  • We will not come into the cottage to clean or tidy up while guests are here.

  • We ask that our guests always use the dishwasher to wash dishes.  If you need something that you have already used, just wash it in the sink, but then place it in the dishwasher prior to leaving, and turn it on.

  • When cleaning between guests, all touch points are disinfected, as well as floors and countertops, etc., using hospital grade sanitizer.

  • The bathroom touch points are also disinfected and everything is stripped and washed each time guests leave.

  • The bedding is completely changed from one guest to the next.

  • We leave a minimum of 24 hours between guests to let it air out.

Hot Tub Information:

In light of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we want to share with you the opinion of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) for pools and hot tubs.

The CDC does not have an opinion on whether soaking in a hot tub will kill the virus in your body (if contracted). But they do confirm that heat, humidity and chlorine or bromine in hot tubs “should remove or inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19.” Because of this, Coronavirus should not be contractable from a properly-maintained pool or hot tub. Even before Covid-19 came along, we are always extremely diligent about maintaining the hot tub.

If you have any other questions about how we prepare for the virus with each cleaning, please let us know.  We are happy to allay your fears, and answer all your questions.

Regards, Wayne & Sherry
